Hey guys, listening to the podcast now... 1:30 here on the east coast, and I should be sleeping. Awesome so far!

Anyway, just to clear up the Dead Space thing: you guys are actually talking about 2 different games (and forgive me if you clear this up later):

The first is Dead Space: Extraction, the one Pete is talking about for the Wii (the prequel to Dead Space 1). Not sure of the exact release date for the PS3 version of that, but yeah, that's the one being ported to PS3.

The second is Dead Space: Ignition, which I believe (not 100% so don't quote me) is an interlude between Dead Space 1 and 2. This is downloadable for the XBLA for sure, and maybe PSN (but again, don't quote me). I got confused too, I don't blame you guys. Looks mediocre, in my opinion. Dead Space 2 looks every bit as great as the first though. Just finishing up: on the part about the LIEGN Sonic Adventure Review. Totally agree with you guys!

Very sorry for the double post, it's because I listened to a little of this before work and the rest after. My Wii also gets hot when it's off, I'm GUESSING it's just Wiiconnect24, if the light is orange it will get hot, if you hold down the power button so that the light is red it turns off completely, disconnecting Wiiconnect24 and, at least with mine, keeps it totally cool.

Sims is one of those games where you think "how can this be fun?", and it turns out to be surprisingly fun. to me, anyways.

if you look at it as "just recreating my life", I can understand why you would then not enjoy it.

but if you look at it as, "IM'A BUILD ME A DA BEST HOUSE EVER!" or "wouldn't it be fun to live in an arcade? I think I will try to build that!" (that is, if this sims 3 console has arcade machines, like previous games)

I know some people play sims just to create houses.

but if you go further than that, creating people can also be fun.

create yourself, create your friends, create characters that just pop up in your head.

have them live together, "I think it will be interesting to see how Gamester, Pete, and Johnny will live together." or maybe you'd like to try to recreate the justice force to live under one roof? or maybe, you just wanna create yourself alone....... or with 5 beautiful women surrounded by you on a daily basis?

and then theres trying to build your character. not too sure about sims 3, but usually of past sims games, you would be allowed to build your character. pushing up either his physical stats, his charisma, his creativity, his cooking skills.

use to be, those stats would help you level up in career, but looking at recent promo for it, Im seeing a fire fighter run from a burning building, a mad scientist, a group of astronauts.....

that will be great if we can live out those careers, like how it currently is on pc.or at least somewhat relatively close.

if anything, rent it. or, wait to see review scores for it before making purchase.

past sims console games have been a letdown to many. and has had some annoying glitches.

this one being on much higher consoles than the ps2, hoping its worth the 60 bucks. the ones on the ps2 I would not pay more than 20 bucks for.

Was it just me or did this episode seem really hap-hazard? There's lots of awkward pauses and the whole Skype issues with Gamester81... I know it made for a funny joke, but was weird to have it all in.
